Policy Statement
Main Bank is strongly committed to the spirit of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). The bank acknowledges that it should play a significant role in meeting the credit needs of our community and providing affordable home improvement loans to low – and moderate – income neighborhoods in our assessment area.
Bank History
Main Bank was chartered in 1975 as Plaza Del Sol National Bank. In 1995, the bank was sold and became a state chartered bank, changing its name to Interamerica
Bank and moving to its current location at 2424 Louisiana Blvd., NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1996, the bank opened a branch at 950 McNutt Rd., Sunland Park, New Mexico. In 1997, the bank was again sold, becoming part of the Fremont Bank Corporation, of Canon City, Colorado.
In 2005, the bank was purchased by Main Banc, Inc., who changed the bank’s name to Main Bank. The bank is a locally owned, entrepreneurial oriented bank that focuses on personal relationships with its customers.
In 2008, the bank closed the Sunland Park, New Mexico, office.
Bank’s CRA Objectives
Main Bank offers a wide range of loans tailored to meet the needs of its customers. The bank also offers a variety of deposit products and bank services.
The bank maintains the majority of its loans within the bank’s assessment area. The assessment areas is defined by the bank’s Board of Directors. A map of the assessment area and geographies can be located in the CRA
Public File, which is available to the public for inspection upon request,
and at no cost, at its main branch located at 2424 Louisiana Blvd., NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. The bank’s required CRA notices are posted in the lobbies of both branches.
